FTRL Family,
The 2012 Baseball season is rapidly approaching. You have a
month to get your child registered. There is going to be a lot of big changes
this season. The most noticeable change is the fact that we will not have any
mandatory fundraiser. Other changes include new uniforms for the Minors and
Majors, a PA system, upgrades to all of the fields, options to order pictures,
and new concession options. We will also have a raffle this year that will
include prizes from area restaurants, bowling games, tickets to Holiday World,
and many more prizes. We are also looking at changing the year-end picnic to a
year-end carnival with games, bounce houses, and prizes. This season is sure to
be awesome so register now. We will also have 2 in person registrations at the
Franklin Township Library on January 28 and February 11th from 10am to 2pm.
Age Requirements:
Majors- Ages 7-8 and birthdays must fall between April 30
2003 and April 30 2005.
Minors- Ages 5-6 and birthdays must fall between April 30
2005 and April 30 2007.
T-Ball- Age 4 and birthdays must be between April 30 2007 and

Registration fees have went up from $110
to $135. With the increase we have eliminated the need to have a mandatory
fundraiser, eliminated concession duties and fees, and we have upgraded the
uniforms for the Majors and Minors. Your child's registration fee will include
hat, shirt, pants with belt (just like the MLB teams), trophies and a picture
mate.
T-ball registration fee will be $65 and will include hat, shirt, picture mate and
trophies. We will also be giving families that have multiple children in the
league a $10 discount per child after the first child is registered at
the normal fee.
The 2012 season will start with
practices beginning the first week of April, first game will be Saturday April
28th, and the year end picnic and carnival, that will end the season, will be

business on a teams shirt or to have a banner out in one of the out fields it is
$250. If you would like to sponsor a team and have a banner the cost is $400.
please email us if you are interested.
Pets and Animals
- According
to Indiana Law, household pets are not permitted on the school grounds for any
reason. So please leave pets at home and do not bring them to the fields,
as they are considered to be on school grounds. Ask any friends or
additional family members that would like to attend your child’s game to please
leave their pets at home. Anyone bringing a household pet to the fields
will be asked to remove it immediately.
Smoking
- Smoking
on school grounds is prohibited, so that means there is no smoking at the fields
as they are considered to be on school grounds. Anyone caught smoking will
be asked to extinguish it immediately and if it continues, they will be asked to
leave the facility.
Parking
- Please
note that while we manage the facility for the Rookie League, the property is
still that of The Franklin Township School District and we must do our best to
respect their wishes when it pertains to parking. The School District does
not want anyone parking in the grass anywhere on the facility and points to
additional parking on the backside of the elementary school.
Also, there can no longer be any parking along the curbs out front through the
entrance of the school drive. This is for the safety of kids and parents
crossing from the parking lots to the fields and back. There is no problem
if people would like to drop off and pick up at the curb but we ask that if the
front parking lot is full, to please pull around to the backside for additional
parking.
If the situation continues, cars parked in these areas may be ticketed and/or
towed by local law enforcement. So we ask that all please adhere to this
policy.
